Breeding Lagotto Romagnolo

Puppies and our Lagotto puppies too,  can reach The US only after they are 16 weeks old.

Puppies with a rabies vaccine that has been done for at least 30 days are allowed to enter the United States. There are some States where the puppy  entry can be even earlier, but it is often the airlines that put the limit valid for most states.

The Lagotto Romagnolo is an Italian breed that is becoming very popular all around the world. The requests for our puppies are numerous also from United States.

By choice we have decided to keep only few puppies at the same time until the fateful 16 weeks old.

The journey that the puppy faces to reach the United States is challenging. So all our puppies going to the US will follow the most restrictive process. 30 days after the rabies vaccine.
This gives us time to work with our puppies, we want to deliver to the families who have chosen us from so far away puppies that are prepared to cope with separation and be ready to be comfortable in their new family

Our desire to give the puppy the right imprint before he reaches his new family sets this limit.

Puppies will be followed individuallyto learn the first basic rules. They will have their first experiences outside the kennel.

Despite numerous requests only a few puppies reach the United States.
We ask that the puppies be picked up personally in Italy, and this is not always possible.

Sometimes coming to pick up one of our puppies can be an opportunity to visit Italy, our beautiful country, rich in landscapes, history, culture and art. We are Located in Tuscany, close to Florence and not far from Bologna. Well served for Highway and so not far from Airport.

We want the puppies to travel in the cabin with their future owner, and on arrival, somewhat stressed about everything that has happened they have a safe point of reference, the person they already knew and who has been through the whole journey with them.

All the difficulties there are in having a Lagotto Romagnolo Valle dei Medici, make us feel better about our puppy’s future.

All documentation to enter the United States will be prepared by us and ready for the day we and the puppy meet the future family.

We know the breed and try our best to foster happy puppies to people who initially only know us via Whatsapp, Facetime or Zoom. Then we become almost relatives and often stay in touch.

All our litters are designed by parents controlled by genetic tests for breed diseases and official X-rays for dysplasia.

In the family we have a dog trainer and a veterinarian.
